Released in Japan on September 13, 2017, KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ[Cross], a game produced by Square Enix, is a romantic action role-playing game set in the Mythril Islands, a land filled with magic and breathtaking beauty. In order to tell the story of this beautiful Kingdom of mythril, Square Enix teams up with the director of the film, the director of photography, and a producer from the theater team. It has been directed by the editor of the division.

One of the unique features of this game is the fact that players are free to change the character that they choose to play as, something that is not possible in other Kingdom Hearts games. The new hero will speak the language of the world and feel most at home in this new land, which has never happened before in the Kingdom Hearts series. In order to create this story, many different worlds were used to compose the different ideas for the story that the game will tell, and the hero in the story will feel the touch of each and every world.

1. The Hero, who Captured the Magic of Quisisana

A young boy named Sora was taking a stroll in the Hometown of Canisle City when he met a young woman who claimed to be suffering from amnesia. She appeared out of nowhere and eventually joined his group of friends. Her name was Quixotic, and she was said to have been discovered by Quisisana in her castle, which was once a place protected by a colossal and mysterious witch, whose skin was completely black and who lived in a mountain.

She was the friend of a young man named Ventus who had been searching for her all over the world after he lost her in a field. From then on, Quixotic and Ventus became the best of friends.

Meanwhile, the world was being threatened by a certain evil figure. He laid waste to all of the lands with the help of a mysterious

‘Lands Between’ and the idea that fantasy fans have been craving for ever since Microsoft showed a cutting edge game at this year’s E3 event. (Lands Between is a game planned for a 2015 release.)

We played the game at Gamescom this summer and you’ve likely heard of this game already (if not, the short version is that you play as a the once dead prince of a missing kingdom. You meet a man and a woman and then you fight your way through a number of dungeons while doing quests and developing your character.)

The game is weird and challenging and you fight a huge variety of enemies while your companions do their own things. Sounds a lot like Blizzard’s Diablo series, no?

Well yeah and no. First of all, in Lands Between you’re not playing as one hero or even a hero and his/her sidekick. I’m probably being overly dry here but, basically, you can do whatever your want as long as you help the main character. You’re on the campaign as the main character and so there’s no longer this one right way to play through the game. People can choose different kinds of campaigns, it’s up to them to choose the path they will take. You might even fight your way to another world in the end!

At the same time, it’s the first real fantasy role playing game in a long time.

To be honest, it feels a bit like a new Final Fantasy game in some ways. For example, there’s going to be a lot of customization. An original story rather than recycled material, lots of online play and no trading cards or collectibles.

It’s a bit of a shame that the game’s release is so far off – to be honest, I’ve been keeping an eye on the progress of ‘FINAL FANTASY XV’ (a game scheduled for a 2016 release) for a while now and its release is kind of close. Its spiritual successor is this game.
