2.3 Programming Photoshop

Starting with Photoshop 7, you can start scripting Photoshop with Actions, one of the most useful features in Photoshop. Scripts are small programs that automate a series of tasks. Scripts are made up of actions and dynamic text, like keywords and variables. Actions are so useful that they are among the most frequently used features of Photoshop.

2.4 Graphics and Animation

Graphics and animation have largely been relegated to the duties of Adobe programs like Flash and Art-B. However, with the creation of the Adobe CS series of products, including Photoshop and Illustrator, Adobe has brought its programs up to par with animation programs like Flash.

Additionally, Photoshop has a variety of tools to recover damaged and lost text or vector objects such as word art, logos, and art.

Likewise, the steps to clone a duplicate image or image series are very useful and appreciated in the field.

If you’re looking to do more hardcore photo editing, you’ll find that Photoshop has a powerful photo-editing system. The repair functions give you a way to recover a photo from the bottom of the barrel, and the cloning is helpful to speed up your workflow.

2.6 Retouching

All the tools are great, but you still need to edit images that have errors or just need a little tidying up.

The Direct Selection tool or Quick Selection tool in Photoshop can be helpful for selecting distinct areas of an image. It is often used to fix discoloration or to smooth wrinkles in a person’s face.

The Spot Healing Brush tool is helpful for giving a slight bump to a face or adding vibrant color. The local adjustment tools can help you correct areas of an image.

2.7 Photoshop Layers

A Photoshop layer gives you the power to add layers above the existing image in the document. This is the key to creating a compound image,

Photoshop Elements is a great option for beginners or for individuals who do not need all of the sophisticated features of Photoshop.

For example, it will not allow you to create a retouching or make-up tutorial in Photo Video, but it will allow you to create an email signature or a wedding invitation and use the tools like the Paintbrush or the Brush to create something amazing.

In the latest version of Photoshop, as well as in Elements, there are two identical types of layers: visible layers and hidden layers. Both of them are types of layers which are used in Photoshop to edit the images. The visible layer is the one which shows, as they are working on the object, usually when image elements are added or deleted.

On the other hand, hidden layers are used to hide the object which is not needed to see, either because they are too small or because they do not change. Hidden layers are used to perform small tasks like gradients or effects.

Remember that even if you are on the visible layer, you can still use the hidden one, but not directly. So, either you use the visible layer or you delete the hidden layer, and then you can use it in the next version.

How to create a new layer in Photoshop Elements

There are two ways to create a new layer in Photoshop Elements. If you click the Layer Palette, you will see a box on the top of your screen with a box which reads Layers.

Use this toolbar to have different options for your layers such as:

The Move tool: To move the object to the new layer

The Free tool: To add the object to the new layer

The Create a New layer: To create a new layer

The Type: To change the type of layer

The Create link: To link the new layer to a path

Use the way of the new layer creation if you want to see your elements or places on the new layer. To hide or show the layer, click on the eye icon. If you want to merge all of your layers, then click on the eye icon and then click on the eye icon again

I have an NSDate string as follows:

I want to convert it into a NSDate and then a NSDateFormatter.
I am doing as follows:

[formatter setDateFormat:@”yyyy-MM-dd’T’HH:mm:ss.000Z”];

I am getting
dateFromString = (null)

How can I get the same date and time as in the string.
